    I've been gathering monitoring gear and have settled on Shure E5's and an Oz HM^ Amp so I can dial in the mix I want. The amp does not come with a built in limiter and I was looking for suggestions...I assume I should have one for protection??

    The Shure units (the little black box that hooks to your belt) has a built in limiter that you can turn off or on. If you just have the headphones, you will have to find something else.
